Węgierska Górka Municipality is located in the southern part of Silesian Voivodeship, in the Soła river valley, on the slopes of Silesian and Żywiec Beskids.

Offers excellent opportunities for hiking the mountains’ trails. The peaks of the Beskids are mild and of low height, making them suitable for novice tourists. As much as 55% of the municipality lies within Żywiec Landscape Park.

In the administrative area of the municipality, there are included villages: Cięcina, Cisiec, Węgierska Górka and Żabnica. From the north-west it is surrounded by the massif Barania, and from the south-east by massive shoulders of Romanka. The municipality is currently one of the most attractive, in terms of tourism, region of the southern Poland. It covers an area of 76.38 km2, which is inhabited by around 15.000 inhabitants.
